A DMO is a complex device where different disciplines coming together: software, hardware, electronics, woodworking, installation, astronomy and design. Dozens of suppliers have contributed to this, from CADCAM sawing companies, print factories, various electronics suppliers to the local hardware stores.
The software for the planet simulation is open source and available on GitHub. The original code can be found at http://mgvez.github.io/jsorrery/ and was made by Martin Vézina, La Grange (https://la-grange.ca/en). Hail to the king!
But by far the most work on the DMO has been done by Est Digital: drawing work for the CADCAM cutter, graphic design lettering, adapting JSorrery software, complete control software developed for the orrery in Python and not to forget: this Drupal 8 website.
